Local dives around Cavo Greko

Konnos Bay - Cavo Greko

Konnos Bay - Cavo Greko

Cavo Greko national park, is located between Ayia Napa and Protaras on the South East Coast of Cyprus, home of the most popular dive sites on the island due to clear, calm, warm water without dangerous currents or high tides.  It has a variety of natural features such as caves, canyons, walls and drops, which are safely accessible even on the occasional rough day plus a couple of new wrecks environmentally sectioned off to encourage plants and marine life. We currently dive nine different sites around this area and normally visit two dives per trip. All dives are accessed by land.

Popular dive sites:

  1. Green Bay

  2. Blue Haze

  3. The Caves

  4. The Canyon

The Zenobia wreck

One of the 2 propellers of Zenobia Wreck

The number 1 wreck dive in the Mediterranean and one of the top 5 wreck dives in the world, Zenobia Wreck will satisfy the most demanding diver. The Swedish ferry fully loaded with trucks and trailers, sunk on her first international voyage in 1980, 1km off Larnaca’s harbour. Big schools of groupers, barracudas, tunas and different kind of hunting fish are regularly spotted around the wreck throughout the year. A certification that allows you to go to a depth of 30m is needed and the dives are conducted from boat. We do two dives on the Zenobia per trip. First dive we take a look on the outside and during the second we do minor penetration.

Wrecks of Liberty and Nemesis

Liberty Wreck

Liberty Wreck

The Liberty was a Russian Vessel that was sunk from our Dive Center Association in May 2009 with the approval of local authorities in order to create an optional dive site for wreck diving enthusiasts. It’s a perfect dive site for wreck training and underwater photography.

The Nemesis III was also sunk by the local authorities in 2014. She lies close to the Liberty Wreck. Both wrecks offer the opportunity for penetration. A certification that allows you to go to a depth of 30m is needed. The dives are conducted from boat. We dive both wrecks on the same trip.
